In Memory of Sandra Jo (Adcock) Maynard

"Sandy"
(April 3, 1947-January 18, 2011)

Unforgotten

Sandra is unforgettable to be around us as a friend, wife, mom, and nana.

She was well known as "Sandy" and we will always remember her in our hearts
as a cherishing friend at Tennessee School  for the Deaf.

We grew up together as good friends and we had many things in common
and she was full of life.

The window of our friendship was closed when Johnny married Sandy at her early age.

It continued as we were busy with our everyday lives as we lived far apart in distance.

The window of our friendship was reopened when we met again and always smiled
every time we got together and were able to carry on where we left off.
Our friendship continued til... and even we met each other to visit whenever we could.

Her illness hit her 2 years ago and she struggled it through.  She was a "fighter".

I prayed for her and her health and she had faith in God.  She claimed His Promise
that He would never forsake her... God's gentle hands were on her and she
felt His loving presence.

Almost every Sunday during her 1st year of her illness, we could chat face to face
on videophone even though we lived such great distance between us.

I spent many hours mediating about her in order to encourage her in  positive
and joyful attitudes and helped her feel welcome and feel she was part of a family.
Also, I emphasized her to "keep her chin up" and be strong.

Even though, we texted messages to each other, no matter when or where, we
always kept in touch.

However, in a bout of the duration of her serious illness, the illness beat her and she
gave up her earthly difficulties as she was ready to meet Jesus.  She is no longer
suffering and is resting in peace.  She is discovering many delights in heaven
and enjoying her time with Jesus.

As a whole, Sandra is unforgettable to be around all of us as a friend, wife, mom, and nana
and even her beloved pet, Penny... all our memories worth cherishing of her
never to be forgotten.

Sandra, you will hold a very special place in our hearts.  We truly feel your absence
and you are greatly missed.  It is hard for me to move on with my life without
you, but seeing your smiling face in my mind brings warmth and peace in my heart.
But please, always know this, no one will ever take your place.

Now you are watching over me and looking after...  Of course, a small part of me
died with you.  Every time I thought of Your smile brighten my day, no matter
what as I feel you are family.  Although I am going through in my life good times
and bad, and I know that everyday for the rest of my life you will be remembered.

I am missing you, Sandy... and always will.
